Samuel B. Lupowitz presents his first solo album since 2015,
No Man Is an Island, to kick off his birthday weekend at South
Hill Cider. The keyboard player of Noon Fifteen, Thru
Spectrums, Maddy Walsh and the Blind Spots, and many others
in the Central New York area presents a deeply personal,
intensely political song cycle recorded in his home during
lockdown, reflecting on the darkness of our times and rejoicing
in the hope provided by our interpersonal connections.
NYC singer/songwriter/composer Will Shish returns to Ithaca to
open the show, and SBL will be joined by an all-star band of
Simon Bjarning (Oxtet), Michael Wu (Gunpoets, Triple Down),
Alec Staples (Fall Creek Brass Band, Thru Spectrums), Joe
Massa (Thru Spectrums, Noon Fifteen, Julia Felice and the
Whiskey Crisis) and Mandy Goldman (Noon Fifteen, Big Soul
Family Band, Maddy Walsh and the Blind Spots).
