+ TASTING ROOM STAFF
South Hill Cider is hiring hospitality professionals. We have a beautiful location on South Hill with stunning sunsets, frequent music nights, and tremendous cider and food available. We provide our guests with guided cider tastings, cider by the glass and freshly prepared locally sourced food. We are looking for a dedicated team to make our 2024 season our best yet!
South Hill Cider is a small family-run business that makes ciders from fruit that we grow four miles from downtown Ithaca and from other local Finger Lakes orchards that we work with. Being part of the vibrant local community of farmers and foodies is the heart of our business.
We are looking for friendly staff who work well in a fast-paced environment, have a team-oriented mindset, are invested in creating a good experience for guests and co-workers, and work efficiently and diligently.
We are hiring multiple tasting room staff positions.
Ideal candidates will have: Service industry experience, but we will train as needed Customer service experience Experience with cider or wine (not required) Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment A team-oriented mindset The drive to create a good experience for guests and co-workers
This is primarily a seasonal position (mid-April to mid-November), although some positions may stay on through the winter. Pay is on average $25/hour ($12.50/hr + Tips). We are open Thursdays-Mondays days and evenings. Weekend availability is required. Full-time and Part-time positions available.

+ ITHACA FARMERS MARKET STAFF
South Hill Cider is hiring for an Ithaca Farmer’s Market worker. Experience in the service industry is preferred, but not required. Experience with cider or wine is a plus, but we will train as needed. The Ithaca Farmer’s Market is a fun community-oriented market that is a local gem.
SHC is a small family business that makes ciders from fruit that we grow four miles from downtown Ithaca and from other local orchards that we work with. Being part of the vibrant local community of farmers and foodies is the heart of our business. We are looking for a dedicated team to make our 2024 season our best yet!
Ideal candidates will have: Customer service experience Service industry and/or farmer’s market skills and experience, but we will train as needed Experience with cider or wine, but is not necessary Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment A self-starter-oriented mindset The drive to create a good experience for customers The ability to be on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours and lifting 40 lbs cases of cider Must be able to work weekends
Personal vehicle required *reimbursement for mileage between cidery and market or event location both ways.
Pay is $18/hour plus tips for Ithaca Farmer’s Market and off-site events staff. This is primarily a seasonal position until November, with the potential for a handful of specialty markets during the 2023 holiday season.

+ FOOD PREP / LINE COOK
South Hill Cider is hiring hospitality professionals to work in our tasting room and outdoor space. We provide our guests with guided cider tastings, cider by the glass, and freshly prepared food that is sourced locally. We focus on educating our staff and guests on cider and food pairings. We are currently hiring for Food Prep/Food Station positions.
Food Prep/Station This position will include both food prep and food station shifts. Prepare and plate foods such as small snacks, sandwiches, salads, and shared boards to order.
Requirements: At least two years of back-of-house restaurant or similar food-handling experience Organizational skills Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen Interest in food Availability: 20-40 hours a week, at least one weekend day, Full-time and Part-time positions available
Food prep responsibilities: Prep food menu items from recipes Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and food station Food inventory Be a team player
Food station/line responsibilities: Prepare menu food items to order Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and food station Be a team player
What you will learn: How cider is made and how to taste cider How to pair ciders with food How to work with seasonal produce (pickles, jam, etc)
Pay is $18 for food prep shifts. Pay is $13.50/hour plus tips (in season average: $27 per hour with tips) for Food Station/line shifts. This is primarily a seasonal position: although we are open year-round, the majority of our business takes place in the summer and fall.
