Papa Muse music can be described as "Indie World," Papa Muse blends rock and world music with catchy hooks and funky dance-able grooves. Papa Muse has been compared to the Talking Heads, Rusted Root, Paul Simon, Devo and Rush. It's danceable and intelligent music.

The songs are polished and often move in different directions to make them unpredictable and fresh. The lyrics are meaningful and often present an altruistic vision for humanity, deep yet relatable and easy to digest. Playing shows in the Ithaca area for 20 + years as well as showcases everywhere from Austin's South by SouthWest festival to dive bars in Miami, performing live and making new friends is what drives Papa Muse.

When playing stripped down with acoustic instruments, the lyrics impact you deeply and the melodies uplift and soothe your spirit. The Papa Muse big band is danceable and high energy, but the nuances of the music are often missed. That's why the songwriter enjoys playing an occasional acoustic show as it's more intimate and interactive.

Drummer Damian "Massive" Dodge joins Way on the Cajon drum. The two love to play acoustic together because they're able to create interesting vocal harmonies and lock in rhythmically in intricate ways. They also enjoy the freedom to play new songs and interesting covers that they don't get to do with the full band. Their musical connection and friendship are evident when playing as a duo. The music is fun and inspiring and it's a joyful experience only truly felt at a live performance.
