Four and Twenty Blackbirds is a group composed of a number of Ithaca’s musical talents and songwriters. Crow Greenspun is the inspiration behind the project and the featured songwriter for this show.

Crow is a unique songwriter, drawing inspirations from many genres. Crow’s songs are narrative and tend to spark emotion in listeners. Crow has recorded in the past with many of Ithaca’s talents including Sim Redmond of the Sim Redmond Band, Jeb Puryear of Donna the Buffalo and Richie Stearns of The Horseflies. In this group crow has teamed up with some of Ithaca’s other favorites; Liam and Kieran Makepeace of The Makepeace Brothers, and notably, on drums is Tom Gilbert, formerly of Donna the Buffalo.

The sweetest connection of all is a musical reunion with his own brother Juge Greenspun.

The group is in the process of recording a record at Black Bear Studios with Angelo Paradiso to be released this summer. Join us for a special night to preview the music live.
