Join us for a First Friday Celebartion with farm to table food, cider and art!
Crystal Calabrese is an Ithaca-area artist who uses the historic wet plate collodion
photographic process to document modern small-scale agriculture and human
relationship to the land. Wet plate collodion combines art and science to produce
beautiful, often haunting, photographs that are reminiscent of the past. Crystal mixes
her own chemistry and creates handmade, direct-positive pictures on metal and glass
plates in her mobile darkroom. “Farmers and Farmscapes” is an ongoing portraiture
project of Finger Lakes farmers and farm landscapes.
