Meet the artist:
Katrina Clark is charmed by the interplay of dreamlike symbols, especially where they intersect and amplify meaning in her waking reality. By tuning into the subtle yet significant metaphors embedded in seemingly mundane unfoldings, Katrina can find a ripeness of meaning in her everyday experience. Her artwork is an attempt to internally integrate and externally relay some of these broader poetic/cosmic/archetypal processes that she is in a relationship with.
Katrina primarily uses graphite in her artmaking but also explores exacto-knifing, gold leaf, conte crayon, pastels, and other drawing-based mediums. She tends to gravitate towards balancing the delicacy of a detailed drawing with a heavier thematic essence (often returning to themes of emptiness, yearning, and cyclical flux).
